Water Tight buildings and under water sensors
Project Summary
This project we used the eingineering design cycle to solve a world problem. Our problem was tsunamis but that's a broad topic so we focused on saving peoples live we thought of a lot of ideas such as under water pressure sensors whale power water tight buildings and magical force fields to block the tsunami. Of those ideas we chose under water pressure sensors and water tight building. We mainly followed the water tight aspect of those ideas but we added the pressure sensors because it would help tell people earlier to get to the building. We mainly focused on Japan as our place to help because it gets the most tsunamis. So we made a scale model of our building out of wood to represent concrete tin foil to represent steel and duct tape and chaulk to represent tar. Our small scale tests worked perfectly' we know this because we weighed it before and after and it weighed the exact same.

Major Concepts
<--------- First was the engineering design cycle it is 1. find the problem 2. Research the need 3. Develop possible solutions 4. Select best solution 5. Construct a prototype 6. test and evaluate 7. Present solutions 8. Redesign
Second was basic building because we had to build a wood structure seal it with caulk and have it look nice
Third we had to know how to search the internet in an efficient way because we had to get research but we didn't have a lot of time to search
Fourth was time management because we had about 25 hours to complete the project but it was spanned over a period of four weeks so we had to get a lot done in a little time.

Reflection
I had a lot of fun on this project for many reasons first my group was perfect together and we had a lot of fun. The other fun thing was that we chose a fun topic to research so it was fun researching and doing the project. I felt that we did really well and we gave a great project. One pit was that we almost didn't finish in time so we had to stay after school to finish. One peak was that we gave a great presentations and our whole group got A's. Our second pit was that we didn't fully get to talk about the underwater pressure sensors but they where a side project so they didn't matter to much. Our final peak was how well our group worked together we worked so well that we laughed a lot but still got our work done. Overall this project wasn't really fun but I did learn a few things so I thought it was worth it.
